sitting and staring

everyone is so busy these days. being a stay at home mom, i . . . well, stay home. most days it's nice. just the baby and i. sitting at home. staring at each other. then she starts screaming and all i can do is sit there and stare at her. staying at home is wearing me out!! i need to do something! get out and enjoy the cooler weather.
but the baby is sick.
and so we sit.
and stare.
and scream.

we go to the grocery store about twice a week and she is so good on those trips. but i am so tired lately.. i'd rather sit and stare. i'm not supposed to feel this run down already am i? -sigh-

she's walking now! so cute. melissa says she walks like an ol' granny. and she does. :o) but she is more content in her own little world now. it's amazing. so i've started to work on a few things around the house. not much.. i'd rather sit and stare.

So I asked Queen Pea to come and let you all know that I have been extremely busy. I'm still here! I started BDCBathandBody when I was a stay at home mom that was trying to figure out a way to get income. My poor husband has worked ever so hard that I have since gone back to work. I'm now working full time which leaves me just enough energy to create only a few things at a time. I haven't forgotten about all my loyal followers and appreciate you so much. um, hello? anyone there?

i guess you have realized by now that BDC has been a little busy. she asked me to come in and check on you guys. just to say hello and see how you are all doing. we are doing great. just so busy and tired! having little ones running around will do that to you.
so i don't know about you guys, but here in the south it is too hot for fall. i am ready for a little sweater weather. this is my second fall here, and i have to tell you, i am starting to miss home a little. just a little. the crisp cool mornings. i think sometimes that i'd like to sit on the porch and drink my coffee, catch up on some reading or conversation with a good friend. but i can't sit out there more than 5 minutes before i'm panting for air! it's already about 80* by 8 am with a humidity no lower than 75. it's too muggy and suffocating. or am i just out of shape? no, it's just hot.
so my baby is 10 months old now. she is sitting on the floor at the glass door looking out at the cat trying to get him. she is so excited i'm afraid she might break the door. so cute.
so while she does that, i may finish laundry and figure out what to do for dinner. the big girls will be home in about two hours. then the real work begins. until next time, click here and have some fun. i've got to go clean.

sunday adventures

alright you guys, well, i've missed you. so here i am! it's me, 'queen pea'. i've been working on this blog for a week now. wow! it's already saturday. it's gone by so fast! i just wanted to share what our last sunday was like. we spent the afternoon with good friends. my girls and i went to visit with bdc and her family. had a blast. the babies followed each other around everywhere. they synchronized naps, that was nice. my two older daughters played guitar hero. they loved it. then bdc got really adventurous. she decided to let my older daughters create their own bath salts. they had so much fun, all three of them. they came up with two beautiful creations. 'allisa's misty meadows' and 'emily's pixie dust'. and of course this whole creating experience led to another great idea. i'll let bdc tell you about that one. of course i wished i had brought my camera. i'll make sure to have it with me next time.

yeah! hee hee. thank you. i love them. i got caramel macchiato and hazelnut cappuccino. can you say yummy? so sweet and so creamy. i feel like dessert. no really. like i am dessert! and sometimes that is a good feeling. ;) i just love the creativity of BDC. she is always coming up with new ideas. i can't wait to sample the sugar scrubs! keep them coming girl.

oh, it's friday! it's storming here now. lightning, thunder, rain. a nice hot summer storm. i have an exciting weekend ahead and hope you do as well.

so i don't know who is hot, but it is hot down here in the gulf! i can hardly breathe when i step outside. by now, we are getting a little tired of summer. and our minds start thinking about fall. cooler weather, thicker layers. the fall is a time for me to start baking. i love the way it makes my house smell. you may be wondering why on earth am i talking about fall and baking. well, i'll tell you. my friend here at BDC has informed me that there will be some new and exciting things happening at her 'shop' (http://www.bdcbathandbody.etsy.com/). fall 'flavors'!! and so i have decided to share my thoughts with you. that is why you are here, right? that's what i tell myself anyway. so the flavors she has decided to add to her line for the fall are going to be used for sachets, lotions, shower gels, scrubs and bath fizzies. as i look over this list of 'flavors' my mouth actually begins to water. i envision county fairs, family cook outs, kids in the kitchen with flour all over their faces. when you look over these, what do you think of? sitting with a cup of coffee or hot tea, a little treat, and your favorite book? tell me what about the fall do you enjoy? i'll be listening.
